Kapok is the original filling used to make zafus in Japan; it has the perfect firmness for meditating comfortably for hours. The natural kapok microfiber.

If it becomes compact over time, you can place it in the sun for a while and your zafu will regain its original shape. One of the pleats is not sewn so that you can fill it with extra kapok if necessary. To clean your zafu, brush the fabric or use a vacuum cleaner; any stains can be removed by rubbing gently with a wet cloth.
