Ceremonial Cocoa 456g Munay Medicine
100% pure Cacao from Ecuador
456 gram ceremonial cacao block from the award-winning family farm "Hacienda San Jose" in Ecuador (one of the country's top cacao producers). San José cacao is known for its high quality beans and unique fermentation process that results in the creamy almond nutty flavor.
Munay is a word in Quechua, the language spoken by the indigenous people of South America. The word represents a state of consciousness where love, will and power are intertwined. This cocoa contains beans and energies from north to south. Munay Medicine is a bridge of two worlds, as the final stage of stone grinding and roasting is done by hand in Sweden on a small family farm by a woman who breathes, lives and pours her heart into making the best ceremonial cocoa. Each cocoa block is blessed with prayer and the intention that the medicine will reach the hearts of those who need it.
The healing properties of cocoa
- Prosperous
- Deeper heart opening and love
- Focus and self-expression
- In-depth meditation or spiritual contact
- Deeper connection with other people
- Inspiration & creativity
- Relaxation
For daily use, we recommend approx. 15-20 grams (2 tablespoons). For ceremonial use, we recommend between 30-45 grams of pure cocoa per person. If you reduce the amount, some of the benefits will be lost. Too much, on the other hand, can be unpleasant. For most people, 25 to 40 grams is a good dosage. Start with a lower dose and see how it works for you.
How to prepare the cocoa
Chop the cocoa into small pieces.
Pour in a cup of hot water, just boiling. (Do not use boiling temperature as it removes the properties). You can also replace water with your plant-based milk, such as oat milk, soy milk, etc. It is optional if you want to keep the slightly more bitter taste or if you wish to add your favorite sweetener, such as honey, agave...). The cocoa is also good to season with cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla, cayenne pepper and a pinch of salt.
Create your own ceremony
Create a sacred space for your experience. Using ceremonial cacao to accompany your meditation, stillness or embodiment, set that intention in advance. Take a moment to breathe and pause. Contemplate the moment. Use candles, incense, music, silence, or whatever supports you in this sacred moment.
Drink enough water during and after the ceremony. Cocoa can stimulate detoxification. That's a good thing. But you need to make sure you drink enough water. Signs of dehydration can include headaches and nausea. You can easily avoid these problems by drinking water during and after your cacao ceremony.
Enjoy mother earth's beneficial medicine!
