Meditation mat made of premium sheep's wool of strong (725g) quality that creates the softest surface for your meditation practice. Made in Okhaldhunga in Nepal, a village and district known for making the world's finest wool rugs. Local shepherds transport the wool to the village, where mostly women weave the wool carpets. This is done during the agricultural season, mainly from December to March.

This meditation rug is part of a social project that contributes to income for predominantly poor Nepali families with long-standing traditions of rug weaving to preserve the knowledge through generations. Wool from Okhaldhunga is highly valued for its quality and warmth. This region, characterized by its hilly landscape and traditional lifestyle, is home to communities that have mastered the art of sheep breeding and wool production for generations. The sheep at Okhaldhunga are kept in a natural environment and graze on the rich, diverse flora of the Nepalese hills, which contributes to the superior quality of the wool.
