Kyphi Original Egyptian incense balls
Incense of the Pharaohs
In ancient Egypt, Kyphi balls were burned at dusk outside the temple gates and in the pharaoh's chambers. Kyphi were made inside the sacred temples by Priests and Priestesses. Kyphi is said to stimulate our senses and open the veils so we become receptive to our intuitive vision. Kyphi is particularly suitable as an evening incense or for meditation.
This Kyphi is made from 19 ingredients that are ground into a fine powder and then processed in a mixing bowl to form the dough. This is followed by a rest period during which the Kyphi dough is repeatedly vibrated at the frequencies of the reed. The Kyphi balls are then gently rolled by hand and laid out to dry. This process takes several weeks.
