Lucky Charm Doll - Affection

"Daruma Daruma: I decide on a goal and I paint your first eye. When I reach this goal, I will paint the other eye."

The pink Daruma is used to manifest goals related to romantic love, affection in our relationships and happiness. It is ideal as a gift for someone who is looking for love. Size: Large 9 cm.

What is a Daruma?
Daruma, also called Doll of Goals, is a Japanese lucky charm. Handcrafted in papier-mâché, it is a representation of the monk Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism. According to legend, he became enlightened after meditating alone for 9 years in a cave, but his arms and legs eventually withered and fell off. Hence the round shape of the Daruma.

How to use Daruma
Set a goal and paint a pupil in the first eye of the Daruma. When you reach your goal, paint the other eye as a sign of gratitude. To learn, write down how you accomplished your goal for inner satisfaction.

Spirit of Daruma
The Daruma doll reminds us that with determination and perseverance we will achieve what we want in life. It is not a matter of buying a Daruma doll and waiting for our wish to come true as if by magic: Daruma motivates us and gives us the strength to work hard and do our best to be successful. Any occasion is a good time for the Japanese to give a doll as a gift, although birthdays or New Year are of particular importance.

Burning of Darumas
In Japan, Daruma lasts for a year – whether you reach your goal or not – and on January 18, thousands of used Daruma dolls are burned in temples across Japan. In Europe, you can take advantage of your favorite holiday to perform this ritual. You can then choose a new Daruma for your new goals.

This daruma was designed in Japan and made in Vietnam from recycled paper from Japan.
