Jizo Bosatsu Buddha

Jizo is a representation of the most revered Buddha in Japan. He is not only the guardian of travelers but also the protector of children and motherhood. Traditionally, the Japanese give him abundant food offerings. They adorn his statue with a woolen scarf and hat to keep him warm and a red bib to keep him from getting dirty.
