Oedo-Koh Incense Water Drop
Oedo-Koh Incense Water Drop
A Fresh Fragrance of Water
During the Edo period, people did not have baths at home, so 600 public bathhouses were built. Later, large bathtubs were developed. The bathhouse was an equal place. A popular product was Yuya no-shizuku, a scented lotion made with floral essences using a distillation known as a ranbiki. This scent came to create a warm and friendly tone reminiscent of bathhouse life.
